I am thinking of using estrogens to feminize myself and to make my breasts and butt grow more, w

Misterelephant88:
I always heard bad comments when someone uses estrogen, do you know anyone who has used it or have any experience with it?

Everyone I know that takes estrogen are transwomen. They're fine, but they are also under doctor supervision to make sure their hormones levels done't get too high or too low.

If you are looking to medically transition, you should be fine. If you are looking to take it without medical supervision, you are playing with fire. High levels of estrogen can cause you a laundry list of health problems.

Do not take hormones without medical supervision. You need to have your levels monitored.

Absolutely do it, enjoy the ride and let me know how it goes

Like I said, HRT isn't bad. Just do it under doctor supervision to be safe.

I mean if they'd prefer not to do it under supervision that's for them to decide. Don't try to force your own thoughts on other people.

It's a matter of safety. I understand that not everyone has the opportunity to take HRT with medical supervision. But if you have the opportunity, you should 100% do it safely.

Even ciswomen who take estrogen for medical reasons should do it under doctor supervision because of potential complications.

I also feel like this isn't about me giving advice to this person. Rather you being upset with me and talking about it indirectly.

Lol you can think what you want. But they are more than allowed to do as they please, doing it with supervision or without. End of story.

You're right. They can choose. But if someone is asking for advice, the ethical thing is to make sure they are properly informed how they can do it safely. If they decide to do it in a riskier way, at the very least it will be their informed decision and not the result of bad advice.

Mmm they actually didn't ask for advice. They asked to hear about experiences with it. So.

Which is an indirect way of asking for advice.

If you aren't diagnosed with gender dysphoria I doubt any doctor would help you with hormones or HRT.

Misterelephant88:
in fact, I have gender dysphoria, but I had not encouraged myself to start or see treatments, because of all the bad things that are said about using estrogens.

It's like I said. You should be fine so long as you do it under a doctor's supervision. I have two transwomen friends on HRT. One just started a few months ago. The other's been on it for years. Both are fine and very happy they did it.

If you feel like it's right for you, I would recommend taking the first step.

As a trans woman, I echo Munchies' advice. Talk to a doctor before proceeding.

Mucking about with your hormone levels comes with a lot of long-term risks, including various forms of cancer. I get that some people wish their body was a little different - just make sure you are well informed on the risks to ensure you are willing to take them to achieve whatever you are hoping to.

As a trans woman who -for a number of reasons- has always shunned a medical transition, I would recommend pueraria mirifica to feminize your body. I am using it with a combination of reishi and fenugreek and have started noticing significant changes. My breasts have taken a more feminine shape, and even my belly and curves have become rounder and softer. I feel great. Whether this effect is caused by a mental suggestion, I don't know, but still I wouldn't write that off entirely...

HRT is already way too accesable as is

Wow. Just saw this. Tell me you are an unhappy person without telling me you are an unhappy person.

I'm so curious as to how you quantify this. I know a lot of tran people. Transmen, women, and NBs. It is *not* easy to get HRT. There are a lot of hoops you have to go through just to get onto it. It can take years. And even then, you might not get it for various reasons.

This doesn't even include places where being trans is a crime. Forget even getting access to HRT.

First off, no it really isn’t easy to get on hormones. You have to see a therapist for a bit and then schedule a appointment with a endocrinologist. Second off, people who detransition are a rare case and even then most of the time it’s due to their living situation. The ones that are vocal about it are usually transphobic, that’s where the “hate” comes from by the way. They believe that since it didn’t work for them, then it wouldn’t work for everyone else and spread lies to the politicians and public which makes society hate us even more and then lawmakers start targeting trans people making disgusting laws. Also cis women’s breasts come in different sizes. And if a trans woman wishes to have a bigger chest, she can get surgery. Bottom line is, anyone who’s questioning their gender needs to talk to a therapist before making big decisions. Also there’s one thing that the feedees in the community has in common with the trans community, body autonomy. We both want to do what makes us feel comfortable in our own bodies without interference from others.
