In the earlier days of the internet, my friend who was into the band Feeder told me about her issues with trying to search for her favourite band online and just getting ‘all this fat people stuff’. I was quietly thinking how I’d sometimes had the opposite problem 🤷🏻

I'd say "no" on account of that mukbang guy on youtube with "avocado" in his name. When the press does a story on him, it's with derision and ridicule. I believe using "avocado" would cause any press to amplify that negativity - hurting both him and us.

I have to agree. While avocado is a good idea in itself it is tainted as of now.

We need something like tumblr used to have back in 2012 - but even more subtle. The question/code has to be subtle enough to not put anyone in danger But the reply has to be telling enough that both people are on the same page.

What about using Neapolitan for a code word?

It's a bit of a mouthful but the feederism flag has the same colors and it's easy enough to hide in a bio as saying your favorite flavor of ice cream is Neapolitan
