Differences in taste in visual vs written media

Tentacles:
What differences do other people find?

Very few differences between visual and written media for me (and what about aural?). Only one i can think of: i’ll often read (or write) a detailed sex scene, but almost never do i want to see such a thing in video, and seldom in (non-moving) pictures.

Ooh, what a great question.

I have to agree with Jiggle Junkie though - the difference between the written word versus an act played out across video is different.
In writing, you can slow down the pace and focus on one particular thing if you wish. Think of a really great movie director who takes a big scene, then zooms in, then zooms out again to capture character faces and expressions.
With writing, for me, it's way better than the visual medium.
That said, if you are looking for video and cannot find it, I suggest perhaps writing something to your taste and tweak it as your writing improves. It scratches the itch and 'it's yours'.

If you read you can use your imagination and if you see it, that's it, you just see what's in front of you. I find it more stimulating to read.
