for me it really depends on a lot of things. my desire to gain weight fluctuates a little and comes in phases, so wether I'm in a gaining phase or not affects what/how much I eat. although the weight does stay on even in my non-gaining phases so...
on a regular day I'll have a big bowl of cereal for breakfast, whatever is for lunch at work and then cook supper at home (usually pasta or something or I'll order pizza/chinese food if I don't feel like cooking). my supper tends to be pretty big. but what differs wildly is the amount I'll snack in between meals. some days I just can't seem to get enough and I'll end up eating a good 1.5k-2.5k calories just in snacks in a day. like cookies, ice cream, chips, chocolate bars, sweet drinks, pastries etc etc.
personally I can't do the "big" stuffings like you described (yet), as I can't eat too much at once. I think my biggest intentional meal was around 3k calories. but I know a lot of gainers who can definitely eat way more in one sitting!
