Gaining

Keeping up motivation to gain

How do you stay motivated to gain when you start to feel sick/uncomfortable from stuffing yourself daily? I'm at what's supposed to be day 4 of my 30 day stuffing/gaining challenge and, since I woke up this morning, I haven't really wanted to eat much and I feel an almost hungry yet full feeling.

You don’t have to do something that doesn’t make you feel good

(I mean besides go to work, do chores, call your grandmother, etc.)

As a general rule of thumb, if it stops feeling good, stop doing it.
Constantly stuffing yourself on the daily for a month straight is a bad idea if you haven't trained yourself to handle it. And I know that you haven't done that based on your previous posts

I've said this before, but I will say it again. You need to figure out how many calories you normally eat, how many you are capable of eating without getting sick, and what your goal is - whether that be calories or capacity.

You also need to understand you cannot keep up a constant month-long stuffing without taking breaks. The human body was not meant to be that full for that long.

Start smaller. You are doing too much too soon. If you aren't careful, you're going to send yourself to the hospital.

Take a week off to give yourself a chance to recover. Then try again - but smarter this time.

0-60 is alot easier when you start out closer to 40. Listen to munchies you’re pushing yourself to hard. Indulge for now but don’t pay attention to calorie intake I haven’t really needed to push calorie intake until now because I’m at a deficit

I’ve been getting this same feeling, I usually eat pretty regularly (for a big girl) then stuff my face at night time but now, I feel sick most of the day. So my appetite has really gone down over the past week. I don’t have a GW, I just want to see and feel results but I don’t even feel like I’m gaining 😭

Stop going so hard. Your body cannot cope with everything you're eating. You're going to end up with most of your calories in the toilet.

Weight gain should be a pleasant process. If you feel sick as you gain, you are doing it wrong. Be kind to your body. Give it a chance to process everything.

Mmm yeah, I see. I just feel quite disappointed in myself is all. I’ve never had a problem with binging and stuffing myself until joining here hahah.

Thank you, I kinda already knew I wasn’t super ready for my big stuffings but I just didn’t want to admit it. I started to shake and almost threw up haha. Which, definitely wasn’t the nicest… But I really want to push myself and I have some great motivation to do so.

Should I be trying to increase what I eat during the day and slowing down on how regularly I’m stuffing? Or still stuffing daily but just not as much quantity?

And don’t get me wrong, I enjoy stuffing and testing my limits! It’s just hard to keep pushing when I feel like I’m going nowhere. (: thanks again!

Honestly, if you are just trying to grow, you'd be better off incrementally increasing your regular intake and doing occasional stuffings. Remember that it's a marathon and not a sprint.

Eat what you normally eat, but get as many snacks as you want and extra helpings when you feel like it. Don't deny yourself anything, but don't push yourself too much either.

You should feel comfortably stuffed or at least full after your meals.
