Gaining

Tight midsection

Swedebert:
So for the recent weeks I’ve been stuffing myself almost everyday with all sorts of snacks and fattening foods, and chugging heavy cream. I haven’t been able to weigh myself but I have for sure gained weight I can feel it and see it. Hopefully I’ve crossed over the line of being overweight now which is exciting because I was only a few pounds away last time I weighted myself several weeks ago.

So now I have this tight feeling around my midsection, especially in my upper belly and around belly button, but some on my sides as well. Skin feels tight and stretched. Have anyone else experienced this from a period of really trying to gain weight?
Could it be a sign of new fat forming without having the skin adapted yet. It’s almost the same feeling as when you’re really stuffed, but I’m not I have an empty belly. It feels so heavy and tight, but with soft fat.
Or is it more likely a result of excess water or digestion from all the food?

What do you guys think?

Your upper belly houses your stomach while the area around your navel houses your intestines. When people say their bellies are empty, they mean just the stomach only. As such, some of the tightness in your middle might be backed up food/constipation, but that wouldn't explain your upper belly.

There is a high possibility that some of the tightness is fluid retention. It's also possible that some of it is fat forming under the skin at a faster rate than it can keep up.

So, it's likely a combination of all of the above. I wouldn't be shocked if you get some stretch marks.
