Honestly I would just settle for anything avoiding the same old tropes, fat Thor, and fat Amy or Monica from Friends... for once put a fat actress in a role that is NOT centered around her weight. Or made to be a big fat Joke!
Mike and Molly and This is Us are both great shows, but the storyline is exactly the same, especially for Melissa McCarthy and Krissy Metz characters. Both shows meet S.O love interests at an Over Eaters Anonymous meeting for starters.

These men are also fat and in Toby's case balding (why couldn't Kate be with a hunk like Justin Hartley?) That was a let down for me after seeing previews and learning Kevin was her twin brother. Why a guy like that can't realistically fall for a large lady like her? Maybe HS sweethearts and he's stuck by her through thin and thick?
Also on both shows these characters defining traits are obsessed with losing weight. There are plenty of people out there with no inkling of FAs or BBW or online communities like this who are simply living their lives in fat bodies and (grudgingly) accept the hand they've been delt without obsessing over their weight.

So any sitcom featuring more than just one of two rounder people who hang out with and engage in relationships with drop dead gorgeous ladies and totally ripped dudes... Without making any obvious mention or innuendo regarding their fatness or storyline centered on diet culture. To honestly explore the stigma, discrimination and hate their characters face everyday without making this their defining trait.
Awesome romcom would be a chubby girl meets boy who likes her curves as she thickens, leading both characters on a journey of discovery and exploration. Navigating ups and downs, people's reactions and culture clashes as they come to terms and enjoy these new developments and blossom together. Living life to the fullest and get their happily ever after in the end after some doubts and strife.

Do we want a movie ABOUT feederism, where the characters have the fetish in question, and the plot ensues from there, or do we just want a movie with weight gain IN it, with no acknowledgement of the fetish whatsoever (save for, perhaps, behind the camera, with the director, writers, maybe even the actors)?

There is porn! If it was to be a feederism movie it whould basically be porn. Plus a few extras.

If you want to make an actual movie revolved around feederism ,then you trully need to look around you and see how people are suffering. Because if you trully want to make an actual movie, you should also make one of its goals, the betterment of society. Because it takes human effort and it's for other people to see.

If you want to make people dumber (in the sense that they can't think on an intellectual level) then present them with loud, empty media! And making a feederism movie whould be kinda like this! (just like the FEED - 2005 was a terrible movie!)

So yeah! Bad idea to make a movie revolved around feederism, there is little point to have it even on some corner of the film, let's say. It might be useful, but.. Who knows!

Good media does not have to have to better society or preach a message to be good. There are plenty of examples of media that try to do that and suck. You also do not need to make porn to make a feedist story. That's a very narrow way to explore sexuality.

For example, you can make a story about a long-term feedist couple and their love story.

The two meet in early adulthood. The one is a business school graduate working as a server in a restaurant. The other is a line cook who wants to be a famous chef with a line of cookbooks. The two get together and try to make the line cook's dream a reality. The business graduate is the manager and taste tester, while the line cook crafts the recipes and makes the dishes.

They fall into a feedist relationship over time. The chef cooks and the manager eats. Food and a metaphor for love would work well here. Bonus points if the manager gets fatter the more successful the chef gets.

You'd also need to find actors willing to gain weight for the role, assuming you have a character with a starting weight and end-of-movie weight.

We've been rewatching Always Sunny and the season where "Mac gets fat" ... fat by Hollywood standards?? He looks SO much better I think but...😏

You'd be running into fat suit usage if you want to show a gain larger than what, 20lbs? 😝

Honestly, I'd love a film in which the feedist aspect was more metaphorical or a subplot. Makes it easer to place it in other genres; the metaphorical route also makes it, for a lack of a better term, easier for an audience outside of the kink to digest (no pun intended).
