I was curious if any of you have "controversial" food opinions, I.E., the type of food opinions that get you weird looks after you express them.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, check out A Hot Dog Is A Sandwich.

Here's mine:
I don't consider Miracle Whip to be a good substitute for mayo. Too sweet for me, especially when used in the place where you would use mayo.

Ok, here's my hot take. The only good use for cupcakes is when you're hosting a children's birthday party. Real cake is superior in every way. Bigger portions, better flavors, less waste, and cheaper by the pound. Plus there's no annoying paper to peel off of every slice which always takes some of the cake with it.

Is it me or did buffet food go downhill?

A week ago me and my family went to eat at the casino buffet that I would always go to as a kid for my birthday. I paid like around $40 for me and my brother. That's not so bad but the food was hit and miss. Even the roast beef was bland.

Maybe because as a kid I didn't have critical taste buds. But I paid with my hard earned money and didn't even get my free birthday discount. I expected better.

Honestly, this is exactly my parents' opinion on the same matter. They also insist that Golden Corral used to be way better. I can't really remember what it tasted like back then though lol.

Tbh ours would be that it's okay to just taste your food sometimes lol like not every thing you eat needs tonnes of seasoning or sauces, like it's okay to just enjoy rice thats plain or chicken where you can actually taste the chicken 😅 we're also just not the biggest fan of somethering our food in sauce like even if its for more calories we just don't find it worth it.

Pickles are the worst.

I detest avocados. They’re like vegetable-flavored butter, and I am not the type of person who enjoys eating straight butter.

Ketchup and mayonnaise are not good condiments, they are ingredients with which to make much better condiments.

Mustard is a better condiment than ketchup.

Pineapple does actually taste good on a Pizza.
Ps: don tell Italians I said it, I might get executed publicly in the piazza. Lol

Actually I put pineapple, cranberries, and halved grapes on my pizza along with the veg, meat, etc. There's a pizza place in Boston that puts raisins and walnuts in a basically regular pizza. I like the blend of sweet and savory. I usually add a sprinkling of gorgonzola cheese over the usual pizza cheese for some savory spice and calories. It mixes well with the fruit.

Honestly, even as someone who doesn't do pineapple on pizza, I feel like it gets an unnecessarily bad rep. If you like it, you like it. You keep doing you.

Oh, and I just thought of another one:

I don't think I believe in the concept of certain foods being "sexier" than others. To me, the sexiest food is the food with the best taste.

Also, who decided that sushi is sexy?

I think it's meant to be sexy for the person watching you eat. I've noticed this is a thing even outside of feedist spaces, like bananas, strawberries and lollipops seem to be sexy foods to normies. Feedists just have more of them.
