Increasing stamina while obese?

Keep in mind just by virtue of being bigger it requires more energy to exert our bodies so it’s just gonna come with the territory of being bigger. Probably won’t be running a marathon or anything like that. I’ve been pushing myself to go on walks and not letting myself stop and rest until I’m done walking and so far I’ve just noticed I’m not getting as winded I might be getting some stamina back but at the very least I’m not losing more stamina.

Ceepert:
Not planning to do any sprints, I just would like ot not need a 5 minute break after walking 100m at a slow pace

Yeah just gotta sweat it out maybe go for like a mile or two walk but no stopping it’s low intentsity so it’s not like you’ll hurt yourself

This is true. Just like you have to put effort into getting fat, you have to put effort into getting in shape—or at least improving your mobility.

It’s tough when you have negated physical strain for a long time but it’s better to it when can rather than wait until you have to

It's a pain in the literal ass. But the good news is that it gets easier over time.

My partner isn't overly fond of exercise, but ever since I've made him exercise to keep his mobility, it's gotten a lot easier for him.

Plus, fat men in tight gym clothes is always a good time.

I’ve been walking everyday for the past 2 months and it’s not like I wasn’t active before I walked but I could def feel my mobility slipping and had like 0 stamina I can already feel a difference it’s not as miserable say walking around a store or exerting myself for longer periods of time; but granted I had gained like 60 pounds over this past winter that takes adjustment I’m just as heavy if not heavier just in slightly better shape

Probably wouldn’t be the worst idea however to go outside and walk around for an hour or two each day is free and doesn’t need a commitment like putting a exercise bike that it’ll probably just get used for a few days and then forgotten about, I get that it wares you out belive me but might as well start somewhere free

I do the same. Initially I tried at 200 feet, but now, cumulatively, I get about 6,000 to 7,000 steps, which isn't bad for someone my size.

There are people half your weight that don't crack 5,000 steps. This is pretty good no matter what.

I have no idea how many steps I take a day while on my feet at work all day, it’s gotta be a lot more than 10,000 most days probably a lot more somedays. But I at least get the walk around the block after dinner if I’m not to stuffed or tired from a long day
