I'm pretty much in the same boat right now, and pretty much what I've learned so far is that there isn't really a nice and easy solution. I'd recommend trying to figure out what your maintenance calories (just google tdee calculator and fill in the blanks) that'll give you a good estimate of the minimum amount of calories you need to eat in a day to not lose weight based on your height/weight/age/activity level. Then just make sure you're eating somewhere above that. I'm still struggling to increase my appetite so I can only usually manage a few hundred calories over that but honestly the more the merrier. I've definitely been guilty of thinking I've eaten a lot in a day and feeling super full only to count up the calories to realize I've hardly had anything, so calorie counting is definitely a necessity. Then from there it's just a waiting game. I don't know how common this is but I usually gain in bursts, like I'll plateau for a while and then get a steady weight gain going and then it'll screech to a halt. But hopefully soon you'll experience some sort of boost as long as you stick with it.

Gaining plateau

Had more or less the same problem, so I resorted to adding extra fat (butter, cheese, coconut oil) into the food and washing it down with honey. You could also try this with heated milk. The problem with eating a lot is that it won't matter unless there is fat in the food. I read somewhere that half of the fat you eat can get deposited quickly. By adding sugar it's even more than that. Still, I notice how the body increases metabolism, so the effect is limited in itself, but it increased my fat tolerance after all (previously I would get diarrhea just from eating some chicken). Since then things are great and after short breaks from this diet I can literally inhale fat for some time until the next break.

I don't believe in any of the anti fat craze. If you want to get fat, use fat.

Periods of no gaining is typical followed by a spert. Do not know the biological reason but it is my experience from time to time, even with constant calories and activity. Maybe look at eating more carbohydrates, drinking water do not underestimate the need for water. I drink 2 to 4 litres a day.
