It was a huge trend like 10-15 years ago but I miss all the "magical/supernatural/etc" fattening stories. Maybe not the ray-gun-type stuff, but like, a person gets cursed and gets fatter by the hour. Or wakes up fat, and has to deal with that. Or fattens up inexplicably every time they sneeze. Stuff like that.

Stories like "noarthereonlyfat"s old stuff where it wasn't remotely realistic, but MAN if it wasn't hot lol.

And there are definitely still stories like that being written, but I feel like for the most part the trends have shifted to more "realistic"-type gains, and/or longer-form stories that take place over dozens of chapters.

Faust:
In my ideal story I’d really like to see normal vampires get fat. Since vampires are depicted as blood hungry I like to imagine that some become addicted to the substance and can put on weight if they over consume. I also like the idea of a vampire taking a human captive to feed off of and growing fat off of them since they no longer have to hunt for their food.

On another note, for some reason I can’t quote the message that the other person responded to me with so I’ll just say thank you for the recommendation here!! I’ll definitely give that story a read.
