in my Campaigns (i am the DM) I often have at least one BBW or SSBBW character that is useful to the party or if i mkake the character for myself, it makes sense
A fat Orc or Golaith who is trained in the way of the sumo is one idea
or a pig beastman
I make it work and make sense as to why a BBW or SSBBW can go toe to toe with a golden dragon

See that makes sense, in a lot of survival situations having added body fats helps ward off starvation and it can protect the body from some degree of harm. Also spellcasters don't necessarily need to be the most nimble so having them be ssbbw/ssbhm won't affect their effectiveness in combat. So I'm definitely pro body positivity in games. Im just afraid of adding kink to tabletop games as that can lead to some degree of awkwardness in the group
Oh I totally get that
I always make sure the fat character is sexy or cute, but isn't showing skin or saying lewd things, like 'feed me' or something like that, which can be odd. The BBW/SSBBW is used respectfully, unless my group is ok with some spice...which we often are. I have a friend that has a thing for skeletons and such.
The bottom line is, its about consent and how respectful the character is
