Fat experiences

Over the weight limit

Have you ever had to correct someone on how much you weigh?

Today I was going to use a ladder to clean the ceiling at our shop and I was like I’m not sure this thing will support me i read the label on the side and it had a 300 lbs weight limit and i just looked around for another ladder and none of them were close finally another guy comes out and says “oh cmon man you’re not that heavy you can’t be much more than 300” and I’m just like nah bro I’m way over 400 and to that he just used the ladder, I ended up just helping what I could from the ground.

I'm the opposite. People think I'm heavier than I am. Being shorter helps with looking rounder, faster. 🐖🤣

Over the weight limit

Either people are really bad at guessing other people's weight or fat is so stigmatized people try to sugar coat things when talking about weight. I still get people who are shocked to find out I'm over 200 lbs

I have people fooled when I tell the my weight, because of my height. I'm 6'2 & 357

We have awesome stepladders at my work, weight limit 200... Which I've exceeded within first few years. Now at 290+ a decade+ later they make me a little nervous. Have started to creak and feel the rungs shift a little under me. Usually try and stay on 1st rung or place a foot on countertop or table to distribute weight. Mostly stick to sturdy little one step stool whenever possible.

Parents got me a 3 stepladder with 250 to limit for 🎄🎁 last year, thinking "heavy duty" was adequate. I did not correct this assumption. Seems to be fine, feels sturdy, again I try to put one foot elsewhere if able. Fat people problems.

Over the weight limit

I'm only pushing 230, and I am NOT fit for ladder use.

I'm not sure if it's my age, weight, agility, sense of balance, belly obstacle... or the combination of all of those things - I am just not thrilled with being higher than maybe 4 or 5 rungs on a ladder, period.

100 or so lbs over the weight limit is pretty scary! Lucky your just up a couple feet on a step ladder.

Ladders aren’t for everyone I would have no issue going up on one I’m just very over the weight limit and being 12-14 feet up in the air is very scary

Over the weight limit

I went to a friends house and had to sit in a lawn chair. Not only were my hips too wide but I was making the chair sink into the ground and pushing the legs further out than they were supposed to go.

I got my hips and ass stuck in the chair and it’s permanently lowered past the normal range of function , creaks and it feels like my ass will burst thru the fabric that makes up the seat, it’s fastened to 2 metal bars that stretch the fabric out to make it tight but my weight is too much for it.

I’m almost 295 now and the weight limit is 220 lol

I know I've said it on here before, but I managed to warp an army bed. I actually did damage to every bed I had in college through sheer weight.
