Wrong gender of viewers

Gaz2012:
Why am I getting male viewers on my profile when I am not interested... I don't mind them looking but I am as hetrosexual as can be!

Just getting a little annoying no females viewing.

I wouldn't read into it too much if I were you.

Sometimes, I'm motivated to look at a profile simply because that person looked at mine.

Sometimes, I'm looking for something suspicious or following up on a report (not applicable in your case).

Sometimes, even just posting a thread can garner views.

Sometimes, some might even be curious about your pictures as kind of a guideline for what they themselves might look like eventually.

One thing for sure that I can say, is that initial physical attraction is NOT a requirement for me, and probably for most others for that matter, to look at a profile.

I get views from all sorts, even a lot of men, even mostly straight men, sometimes not even the same country. 99%+ of the time, it probably doesn't mean anything.

Sometimes I wonder if my avatar on here is slightly misleading, but I've never had anyone complain about it. It might even be because of being featured on the featured profiles page, or the mod/"meet the team" page.

Let's not forget the site specifically recommends members reach out to others in fairly close geographic proximity or newly registered.

The algorithm doesn't seem to take into account either member's preferences.

When you go to the profile section, you'll see several prefilter categories. By clicking "See More," on these it allows you to see all profiles matching those prefilters such as: Newest, Online, Local, Feeders, and Feedees.

If you click the "See All" button at the bottom of the profiles page without selecting any of the prefilters mentioned above, it will display all profiles in order of last online, without applying any other search filters.

Of course, you also have the option to customize your own profile search filters to refine your results even further. I’m not entirely sure what you’re describing with your experience, though, as the algorithm doesn't prioritize new profiles or local ones by default.

I would pay it no mind, if I were you. It's normal to enter people's profiles whenever they pop up on your notifications, I'm more annoyed at the fact that most are empty and faceless. As a gay guy there are more girls and straight guys visiting my profile that gay/bi men, but because this is a heterogeneous platform that's the norm. Don't mind the gender of visitors and build your profile towards what you're looking for.

If a man was interesting in you he would've told you instead of just visiting your profile.

What did the men do to you? dm you, love your posts or something more? Also how would they know that you are heterosexual if they don't look at your profile first?

What I described earlier is in the header atop the main landing page. There are home, mail, and bell icons.

Under the bell icon, it shows who viewed my profile. It also shows suggestions to contact others who are in close geographic proximity, regardless of whether or not they viewed my profile.

These suggestions feature members whose orientation and interests often differ from my own.

Actually, if you see them under the bell, they viewed your profile.

My guy that's not an algorithm, that's just whoever stumbled onto your profile. The site just adds a bit of text if they're new or nearby just to stir up some engagement and get people to chat with each other. Like I just had a good conversation with someone the other day about dungeons and dragons and baldurs gate 3 and this fetish was never once brought up in our chat.
I'm not saying you have to engage with this community, if you just stick to engaging with the fetish side only then that's your right to do so. But you're still going to see people who you arent necessarily attracted to move around this space
