Ever read I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings? I'm more of a fiction girlie, but this book is excellent.
It details Maya Angelou's time as a child and then later as a young mother. My dad got it for me when I was a kid, and I still have that copy in my personal library.

I can remember seeing Angelou in interviews years ago talking about the book, but Iβve not ever read it. I know itβs a classic, though.
