I was a bit fat at highschool, but then I lost all the weight before heading off to uni. At uni I joined a rowing team and trained a lot and got in good shape. I was amazed at the sensation of having muscle and feeling so fit. But of course I slacked off on my diet, saying the training made up for it. As I continued to drink and party and pig out at the canteen buffet I started to get a bit of a belly but I was still training and quite fit. Then I started slacking with the training, I started getting softer and struggling with the workouts. Then I stopped training, so that would’ve resulted in gains, but what kicked it into overdrive was that covid then hit - I basically did nothing but sit at my PC and eat. I’d order two XL pizzas a night and supplement with chocolate and snacks from the store. I gained over 100lbs during the lockdowns and it got to the point where I outgrew all my clothes from pre-lockdown, bursting them at the seams. My old teammates were pretty shocked haha. Since then I’ve had some fluctuations, my weight fell a bit but recently I’ve gained 50 or 60lbs and am the heaviest I’ve ever been.
Similar experience however I was always a jock in high school and college. In college I joined a frat and the wrestling team to stay in shape but eventually the partying, drinking, and other things led me down a path of gaining. Then I got addicted and now I'm here!
