I mean they were recently paused so it hasn't impacted my financial situation too much. But assuming the come back in full force eventually it'll make certain foods a lot harder to get here in the US, since a lot of fruits just can't be grown here. And even if in a later version of the tariff plan food is exempted, everything else will still increase in price so I'll have less money to spend on overeating. Across the board tariffs are a bad idea, anyone who tries to convince you otherwise is a lunatic

Shit like this makes me think of the Maduro diet. For those not in the know, back in 2010, Venezuelans were having severe food shortages under President Maduro due to his gross incompetence.

I'm not saying it will be that bad for us, but I foresee many feedees and gainers slimming down - no Ozempic needed.

God I hope not, but who knows with this president. For all we know in a years time the tariffs will be the least of our problems

I should give up internet life. It screws up my mental health and makes me want to throw away my phone. I am going to try to read more books and watch more shows. All this doom and gloom makes me suicidal.

No because most food products come from America. We’re like the world’s biggest exporter of food.
And most importers are American anyways.

I don’t support Trump at all but I supported the tariffs because it made billionaires who got Trump elected lose money, 500 billion dollars to be exact, and just shows anyone who’s paying attention who’s truly in power. I want representation in my government not lobbyists and tech billionaires.
