Fatcon?

Beachside Farmer:
I think I did. This was where it was in Virginia last year? I think it's mainly for body positivity than fat/gaining lifestyle. If they would be more open to our community their con could get a whole lot bigger.

Arame:
Oh yeah, no about. I would venture to say that feederism is kind of a form of body positivity. Kinda like veganism to vegetarians. Osmosis to diffusion kind of thing. Hell, some of them might already be gainers, and feedees

JN_TumLover56:
Honestly I don’t think that feedism shouldn’t be part of body positivity. Yes both have their similarities but I don’t think that they should coexist. Especially since it will be bad representation and reputation.

Other than that, I would actually go to a convention like this! Just to see what it would be like attending something like this. 😅

Oh I would too. lol
I’m going to the next one for sure. lol
I’m curious as to why you think the two coexisting would be a bad representation and reputation

Alright so you’re not entirely wrong that there’s SOME sort of body positivity within the community of feedism. Especially when getting a little boost of confidence from people admiring.

But with the two trying to coexist with each other is one of the main reasons why that the movement itself became a bit perverted. Especially thanks to stuff like the mukbang (the hell you spell that) culture going to far. Plus someone who just flaunts their obesity issues is going to be quite criticized a lot.

Take BBW Layla for an example (no offence off chance you actually see this). She’s been in the game for a respectable long time. But the way how she constantly flaunts her stuffings and complications of being bigger while tagging stuff like “body positivity” on to her content on the socials… it’s gonna get a shit ton of criticism! But I at least I admire Layla’s unapologetic confidence though.

Now look I’m all for those people within the feedist community who want to support any fat positive stuff, that’s cool because I’m one of them. But at the same time they should AT LEAST keep their business away/aside from it. Especially when it comes to feeling good about one’s own skin while not trying to encourage something extreme.

It'll be nice if there was a convention for BHM and FFA but I guess we are in the minority.

fatcon is for all genders. there have been bhm keynote speakers and guest in the past. they are the minority, but that is understandable given the body positivity focus (as opposed to feedism). fat men tend to have far less stigma associated with them than women amongst "normies."

This past convention was in Seattle. It's definitely more focused on fashion this last go round from what I've seen.

Welp, looking back at my comment. It was worded poorly for sure. That's what happens when you get one hour of sleep. XD As a plus size woman myself I agree with your stigma comment.

Back to convention talk. Was there any artists there selling fat-centric art by any chance?
