How has your weight gain affected your mobility?

For me it's still fairly subtle but it was extra noticeable today. I work retail on weekends for some extra cash, it's not particularly difficult work and and it pays surprisingly well. Today was May the 4th and we had a big star wars promotion in the store. Star wars related items were on sale and people went nuts over them so the store was packed. It was a very tight squeeze to get between people, and i was struggling. We also were selling out of stuff crazy fast so I spent half my shift just walking back and forth from the stock room restocking shelves so my legs were killing me only a few hours into my shift. I also noticed that it's so much easier to completely sit down on the ground to restock lower shelves rather than just bending over.
So now I'm curious to hear other people's stories, how does your added weight affect how you get around in day to day life?

I worked retail for 8yrs, weight was generally around 280-300lbs. Sitting down to stock shelves was always much easier.

How has your weight gain affected your mobility?

Getting close to 500 lbs. (480s), my mobility is definitely affected. Luckily my job is mostly sedentary because I move at a slow waddle and really dislike walking (back and knee pain if I walk too far), the only thing I hate even more are stairs! I try to avoid these suckers at all cost!

How has your weight gain affected your mobility?

My weight gain has made it so I'm required to work from home. I have a massive fupa (or fat pad) so clothes don't fit me properly. Walking adds a lot of stress to it as well. It also makes walking extremely difficult, so taking my dog outside for a potty break is like a whole workout for me. I'm slowly adding more movement so I can increase my mobility.

It definitely is now, but it wasn't always. Before I'd just kneel down and place whatever I needed to on the shelves. But now that strains my back too much especially on busy days when I'm constantly walking back and forth to the stock room

Oh definitely, I'm still planning planning on putting on another 100-150 lbs minimum. I just like to make these posts asking about people who have already gotten to my goal weight just so I know what to expect when I'm that size

I started doing yoga poses to stretch lately and i always had trouble when bending down with the belly, but lately i started doing poses that start with me laying down on my front and is actually a bit of work having to accommodate the belly when trying to get in position, i need to get up and realign the fat falling down

Good for you. I can't tell you much myself. I have always been big. So I wouldn't noticed much. Other than being out of breath going up stairs, haha
