It's certainly not something you want to open with. I'm a fat person and can't say anything good has come from someone I just met telling me about my body size/weight. While it may be a fetish/kink for you, it doesn't mean the person on the receiving end has to agree with you. There are ways of putting it, and if it's become a pattern it's time to evaluate your approach and change it up. I think most people would prefer to hear reasons you're attracted to them, beyond fetishizing them. Ironic I know, given the website we're on.

I'm an FA, but I don't want any old fat guy. I want someone who's funny, smart, kind, and matches my freak (sexually and my general gremlin nature).

My partner is hot, but if that's all he was, we would not be together.


I've been with one FA and we spent weeks getting to know each other first, establishing trust and respect. Then when we met, the physical things felt natural and we had established trust and communication. If we didn't get along so well, there's no chance we'd meet and continue with fun times together.

Part of me wants to be fetishized and lusted over for my body but I feel like the novelty would wear off real quick if everyone became a fat fetishist, been told I’m x despite being fat for a while, why can’t I be an object to sexualize — I totally get how that isn’t everyone’s experience, particularly fat women; but it’s how I feel sometimes as a fat person

I find this to be very common with people that do not fit society's idea of beauty and crave some form of validation. It's the same reason why non-feedists that are fat come into the community.

It feels nice to know people want you - even if it's shallow sometimes.
