Losing weight to gain weight?

Hey y'all, I need some advice. My weight has been fairly stagnant for a while, which I know is normal but I still find it annoying. I've been eating over 3,000 calories a day (sometimes more, sometimes I have to hype myself up just to be able to eat that many) and the weight is just not sticking. I have heard of people losing weight only to immediately put even more back on when they go back to eating a lot. Would it be worth it for me to lose say 15-20 lbs in order to gain more back, or do I just need to simply power through this and keep eating more?

I'm also 20 and fairly muscular so my metabolism is still annoyingly fast

Losing to gain is actually a good plan. It should also help to slow down your metabolism.

That would definitely be a nice bonus, my metabolism has been overworking itself recently and it drives me mad

Losing weight to gain weight?

My wife recently lost weight I believe on some diet drug. She dropped around 15 pounds I would guess. Which at her height of 5’ 3” really shows up as quite a loss in my eyes.

I am really hoping she gains it back pretty quickly with this thought process on this link.

Does anyone know typical time frame the weight can creep back up eating normally again?

Hey man. Support your wife's choices. If she wants to lose weight, then be a man and stop waiting for her to regain it.

Love your wife in all her forms. Love her no matter what she weighs. Waiting for her to regain is not loving her. That is you being selfish and putting your wants over her bodily autonomy.

Be a better husband.

No that is just horrible, if she's taking medicine to lose weight she's clearly not happy with it, you need to support her in losing the weight, and if you can't do that I'm going to blunt here you need to separate, if you can't respect someone and their only eye candy to you, then there is no reason to be in the relationship
