Why do most gainers don't seem to wear weight good?

I really don't want to sound like I'm body shaming or causing body dysmorphia, but I've noticed that when I see some gainers posting their pictures, they don't seem very ... natural?

The most common might be them having one giant bulging belly but super skinny arms and legs. That can't be healthy, right?

But things are always different if the individual is already obese or overweight in their younger years, after their weight gain, their fat will always appear more like it's distribute evenly throughout their body.

Does this only have to do with genetics and adolescence (since your adipose tissue wouldn't change their numbers after you're around 20)?

When you pack on a lot of weight very quickly, it often kinda just ... concentrates. I am not sure why. I'll have to research it. But over time, the weight kinda ... settles and spreads.

High sugar and carb diets, sugar and carbs tend to settle as belly fat more than anything else

Why do most gainers don't seem to wear weight good?

That's honestly half the reason I still exercise while trying to gain weight. My fat distribution definitely favors my belly but I want a more rounded figure all over so I use muscle mass to fill in holes in my physique. It's definitely paid off because I'm starting to get more stretch marks on my inner legs and butt. And I've had stretch marks on my arms since before I started gaining fat and only gained muscle mass

The original post/question does not sit well with me. Everyone who gains weight or gets fat (because they want to) has a perfect body and looks great! Just because you don’t like a certain body type does not mean that this person does not carry their weight well!

Settles and spreads? What do you mean by that?

I'm not so sure about high carbs tho, I've read somewhere else that complex carbohydrates is actually not as bad as simple carbohydrates.

They quite literally look like they're about to burst like when you pumped up a balloon with too much air.

It's not that insane to point out things like that don't seem very healthy. You can still gain weight whilst remain relatively healthy and not making yourself look like Violet Beauregarde.

(If you deliberately choose to do that, it'd be a different story.)

"I really don't want to sound like I'm body shaming or causing body dysmorphia." That's the equivalent to pulling the "no offense" card. You were clearly having an honest and flawed opinion that might've received some criticism. Which one person already criticized your post and you seemed upset by it. I think you are better off saying nothing at all if strong opinions bother you, in regards to hot button posts. Just speaking from my personal experiences.

"Flawed opinion" are you f**king joking? Making an observation about how a lot of gainers in this community don't seem to have a great understanding of how to gain weights without harming themselves is a "flawed opinion"? Telling them to shift to a cleaner option while still achieving their goals is a "flawed opinion"?

There has been multiple studies about how visceral fat can lead to much more higher health risks such as diabetes and cardiovascular diseases compare to gaining subcutaneous fat. Participating in gaining activity shouldn't be the equivalent of buying one way ticket to death.

I'm upset, but it's because of how you don't actually seem to give a shit about their health, and I'm definitely not the bad guy here. Stop packaging your ignorance as body positivity.
