Gaining fat but also gaining muscle

Hi I'm wondering how I can gain both but gain much more fat. I am 18 years old and at 162lbs, I am decently pudgy too.

Eat lots, and lift heavy. If you don't have weights, try one end of your couch.
I've been fat my whole life, and I'll tell you- once you're fat, the leg muscles develop themselves. Just keep walking.
Eating lots of proteins, carbs, and sugars will get you bulked up.

You can definitely do both. Lift weights but still eat as much as you want. As long as you're eating enough you'll put on weight. And since you can only put on so much muscle in a week (I think around half a pound) the rest should be fat. Basically dirty bulking but all the time.

This is what I did. Though I found as I gained I got lazier and if I missed more than a couple days it would turn into a month plus. Muscle and fat is hot, but damn if it isn’t hard to stick with it especially now. I think part of the reason I grew the belly I did is because of being formerly fit and muscular, seems like a lot have similar gains.

Eat protein and lift. I stress that you make sure you get protein as your muscles will need it to repair themselves after lifting or exercise.

I absolutely recommend weight and athletic activity for anyone gaining. It keeps you reasonably healthy and the muscle provides framing for the fat.

For the women. Take low impact like spin class. It works the thighs and glutes while giving a good cardio workout. Running is high impact and all runners seem to get really lean. My wife's bottom really blows up when she does spin class and enjoys her meals.

Just do a traditional bodybuilding/powerlifting bulk. Meaning eat 500 calories above your maintenance calories aka TDEE. So you can gain 1lb a week. Why 500 calories for 7 days? Cause 1lb of fat is 3,500 calories. You’re gonna gain more fat than muscle anyway because natural hypertrophy is a very slow process.
