Gaining

Obesity as a test?

Without trying, i have become overweight, though i don't look overweight. I like the feeling and don't mind this weight and i'm thinking of getting fatter, but i know it is wiser to take it slow and see if i like it, in case i decide it isn't for me and decide to lose the weight. I'm not tall, so the stretch between being overweight and obese is only 30 pounds. Knowing me, i'm not really interested being just chubby. I either want to be thin-ish or fully, obviously obese, i just would like to know if gaining 30 pounds is worth it.

For those that have done this, has losing some weight been easy or did you end up gaining more unintentionally? Has gaining a little bit helped in deciding to become a gainer or not?

If you know how to diet properly, you can easily lose weight. I know because several years ago I diet and lost 100 pounds in a year (but I prefer being obese so eventually I regained back everything plus interests, but this is another story).

So... yeah, if obesity is not for you, you can go back easily, as long as you know how to do it!

This is how it begins šŸ˜…

Weight is something that fluctuates over a life span for many people so losing weight is possible. Only you can really decide how well you can lose it and if you can be disciplined enough.

Losing the weight is not the hard part--keeping it off is!

Gain another 30 lbs if you want, but be prepared for the possibility that you won't be able to lose it and keep it off.

But of course it's also possible you'll love it.

It's interesting to hear your perspective on gaining weight. Personally, I've found that making gradual changes helps me understand my body better, kind of like taking an iq test free to gauge my mindset. For some, a little weight gain can clarify their preferences, while others might find it leads to unexpected results. It’s definitely a journey worth exploring at your own pace!

Obesity as a test?

I was pretty slow to hit obesity, taking about 5 years from when I started dabbling with trying to gain. I found it easy enough to lose weight after, as long as you got the mental willpower. But I would warn you that your ā€œnormalā€ will shift and you may be more excited about getting bigger yet. In my mind, when I hit obesity, I wasn’t even that fat. I kept intentionally gaining, and I’m now hanging around a BMI of 34, and I’m usually one of the fatter guys in the room.

Hitting obesity was a fun milestone and a good one to start with. The only way I found myself continuing to unintentionally overshoot, was if I still kept up with the constant snacking and eating meals till I couldn’t eat more. It’s easy to get into that mentality when you have a couple back to back stuffing sessions.
