First off, welcome to FF, and we hope you enjoy your stay.
I'm not sure if I fully understand your question. I guess it depends on what you definition of a "normal relationship" is? Some clarification on this point would be nice.
I hope you are not implying that folks in relationships where one or both of them are large and heavy, isn't "normal." If you are, you might find yourself not well received here.
There are plenty of members here in fulfilling relationships. Long term relationships, even marriages, divorces, second marriages, raising kids together, etc.
Such relationships however, do tend to be built on other things, in addition to or outside the fetish.
It's true that amongst our membership, users tend to be a good bit heavier than the average in their respective countries. However, the vast majority aren't so large that they are prevented from engaging in typical day to day life and able to engage in primary life activities, such as being able to shower, maintain a home, go to work, etc., and to do so independently.
While there are a small number who may actually engage in the more extreme aspects of the fetish, such as immobility and helplessness, they are the rare, uncommon exception, not the rule.
Even within feederism communities, some topics are still highly controversial and borderline taboo - most notably, death feederism and immobility. The vast majority are not interested in such things.
Fantasy is also a big part for many of us, but most will never actually engage in these things in real life. Sometimes I might dream about polishing off an entire buffet table, but I know that simply isn't possible.
The majority are also generally cognizant of the fact that weight gain would have to cease at some point, and they do not want the relationship to end because that comes to an end.
I think most of us would want a relationship like most others. Taking me for example, I would look for a lady who's sweet and friendly, but is strong and won't take B.S. Maybe a bit bubbly or goofy, but knows how to be serious. Intelligent, respectable, honest to a fault (but hardly a saint), and responsible, since I wish to have a kid or two someday. Someone I find attractive, and hopefully finds me attractive too. Someone who has pride, a sense of decency, and knows how to take care of herself. Independent, and probably doesn't need me, but wants to be with me. Sounds pretty much normal, right?
I just so happen to think the ideal lady for me is a BBW who weighs something like 250-400ish lbs, perhaps likes cooking, and knows all about the delicious food/eats.
I hope this answers your question.
