Fat experiences

So satisfying to see my daughters not too absorbed with their weight anymore., S. now approaching 250lbs I’d guess at 31. . And I can see even R has put on quite a few pounds too over the last year or so at age 28. Think she’ll be close to 200 before much longer. Guess the “ fat gene” has hit them both as they’ve gotten older and more into food . Happily they both have guys that I think enjoy their size .

This hits home for our family as well. My wife’s daughter from her previous marriage has also seemingly followed in mamas footsteps with gaining a lot of weight by 25. She’s about 250 now after being thin in girlhood. The “fat gene” is real indeed :-)

I don't understand why people fetishize their family - especially their kids. Sure, everyone involved is of age, but that's still your flesh and blood. Feels yucky.

I think so too. My girls kept dieting from high school through college. So many ups and downs with weight. Glad to see them not having any issues with being so chubby for at least the time being. 😊

I have said this before, fat appreciation, talking about being fat and living a fat lifestyle is not and should not by default be a sexual fetish. Yes, there’s a sexual fetish component sometimes and to some people but being fat and enjoying it or just living your life as a fat person is so much more. And yes, sometimes that includes the desire or need to talk about fat families, family dynamics etc. I come from a mostly fat family and my own family is a fat family. I mostly don’t bring this up in forums like these because of the unfortunate sexualization of fat in places like this. But tbh, it would be nice if there were spaces where people could chat about fat families without being vilified!

Talking about your experiences growing up in a fat family or sharing personal stories is fine, and it’s important that people can discuss their lived experiences openly. That said, we do need to stay mindful with topics like this.

Because the site is adult in nature, there should never be any sexualisation of minors or detailed discussion involving children. If a conversation ever crosses that line or you feel someone is taking things out of context, please report it to us.

In this thread, everyone mentioned is of age. While some may find family topics unusual here, let’s remain respectful. The user hasn’t shared anything inappropriate they have simply expressed happiness that their adult daughters are doing well and have supportive partners.

If more personal details or photos were shared, we’d need to revisit consent and site suitability, but as it stands, this discussion is within acceptable boundaries.
