Going swimming when you've gained weight!

Lap swimming is a fantastic way to get moving for fat people due to the low stress it puts on your joints and such.

I'm at the point where my weight increases the risk of injuries doing other certain other workouts, and I need to do something to stay sane, but I figure I could keep swimming indefinitely. It makes me really hungry afterward too, even with increasing stamina over time, very easy to get fat and stay fat. I've put on noticeable weight since I joined this gym/pool, and it's probably confusing to some people there lol

Swimming is so much more fun when you’re fat because you float so well. A few years ago, I put on about 40 pounds and it was fun seeing people react to my growing body at the pool.

I am a very slow swimmer now due to my bulk, though like to do water walking, jogging. Used to use a flotation belt for deep water exercises but my spare tyre and belly has blown up enough to keep me afloat without a belt now!!

The water has alway made me feel better. So bath are a go to especially in the winter with my intense arthritis. Now I float and the tub is so small. We hope to build on some day and get a bigger tub.


My husband has a sleeper build someone called it so he is small. When he is shirtless you can see his six pack a bit. In comparison I look pergnant in any swimsuit. Once I am I told him we are have a moon cattion even to michigan so I can do a beach pregnancy photo shoot.

Plus then snack on the beach time and the typical large hat.

Moderate swimming in a warmer pool is ideal for fattys so stay aktiv.
Your weight is supported by the water so u also burn less calories.
I also experience a lot of hunger after swimming.
So I would say it is the ideal feedee workout.
