My favorite is a side dish, shrimp mirliton. Baked shrimp in a luscious bed of mirliton, which is basically a type of eggplant. Yum👍

I'm a stuffing fanatic. You can do so many variations and it's great leftover fried in some butter.

I make a mean cranberry sauce that is a hit every year - even with the cranberry sauce haters.

I also love a well made turkey. I had a smoked turkey one year, and I was obsessed.

All of it...in large quantities of course.

I should get a couple of pumpkin pies this year! Hehe

Cheesy potatoes are my weakness. I could eat a pound of it without thinking. Stuffing with gravy, too. And cherry pie. Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate. Hope we all get impossibly stuffed today!

We usually have two thanksgivings a large everyone in the family one and usually a smaller immediate family one on the weekend. Nothing crazy. But my dad makes the turkey with little sweet peppers in and around it. It gives it such a unique flavor. Paired with a bit of sweet potato it doesnt even need gravy.

I wasnt really able to eat thanksgiving day (was sick). But sometime in the next week we will have the smaller gathering.

If we’re talking desserts i love crustless pumpkin pie. Never really cared much for the crust. The filling is the star of the show anyhow 😂

I just learned how to make homemade whipped cream this year. So im excited to make that again to go with a pie next week. I highly recommend anyone make it themselves. All you need is a mixer, heavy cream, and a smidge of powdered sugar or some other sweetener that can help stabilize. It only takes a few minutes and stores for days, and is cheaper than store bought spray cans!
