To me it feels like people who are Conservative (especially those who have Christian beliefs) really seem to have quite a big no no when it comes to fat people. Especially when they are calling them “disgusting creatures”. Not to mention how it’s often a lot of anti-woke crowd really love to slam and burn up body positivity, especially now more than ever since its peak went downhill.

So I guess for the sake of this post is that is there any notable conservative who is fairly open minded about fat people and not vilifying them?? Or if not that if there’s anyone here who IS conservative I’d like to hear your thoughts.

(btw. I’m not a political person by nature I’m only talking from what I have been noticing)

I'm gonna just say I think you're making a lot of assumptions here, considering if you look at the data available for the political leaning of US States along side the states with the highest obesity rates, the most conservative are often also the fattest

Despite my liberal beliefs I have used to date several conservative FA's. (were also gainers) They are definitely out there.

Could we keep politics out of this place?

Theres a lot of fatphobia in conservative areas but there are also lots of people who like fat in those places. The food deserts which are more common in red states also make obesity rates rise so its really not shocking to me that it'd be that way

I just don’t see fatness as a political issue. Maybe a social one—which one could argue includes politics, but I’d rather not think in those terms. It can be politicized, but to what end?

I get what he’s saying. And I agree it would VERY interesting to meet a feedee/fat acceptance/body positivity activist, particularly one that is a woman or one that identifies as a woman that is also conservative. I’m curious, myself. Haha

Anything can be politicized. It's usually to that thing's detriment.
