Fat experiences

Last week I was at the supermarket when a little girl (preschool age, I’d guess) pointed at my belly and said “I know you have a baby in your belly like my mommy.” Her mom was clearly pregnant, slim, save for a round belly, as if she was smuggling a volleyball under her shirt.

I didn’t correct her, figuring her mom would be mortified. I, on the other hand, was amused.

Kids really do have a knack for saying the most entertaining things at the most unexpected times. I can only imagine the mom's reaction!
