Hey y’all! I’m a bit newer to inflation but have found I’m a really big fan of using water to inflate myself.
I have heard a lot about the risk of water intoxication from holding in the water too long. Massive amounts are absorbed into you are your electrolytes are put out of balance, making you very sick and potentially killing you.
I was wondering if anyone had advice about retaining mitigating this. How long is it safe to hold?
I’ve heard adding a tsp of salt to the water for every litre helps prevent absorption into the body (something to do with osmotic pressure) but does that mean you can hold the water in for much longer, or just a little longer? I really wanna spend 30 mins to an hour at least feeling the weight and pressure of the water but I’m worried about holding the water in that long.
Anyone have experience with longer retention periods with water inflation?
