As a trans woman I had the same experience. When I started transitioning twenty years ago I was really skinny. I initially envisioned that I would need more surgeries to get to a place where I felt comfortable in my own skin. As I got older and unintentionally put on a little weight, it really addressed most of my feelings of dysmorphia. I've continued to gain weight over time (unintentionally - I am not a feedee), and have been hovering around 200 lbs (+/- 20 lbs) for the last 5 years and I honestly feel very at home in my softer, curvy body.

Thanks for sharing your story, and I hope your dysmorphia becomes less and less and one day you'll hardly notice that it's not there.

Never strongly identified with the Feeder term, as the stereotype suggests actively/strongly influencing what someone else is doing in terms of maintaining/adding fat. Now if it’s defined more as “Loving assistant helping enable a fat-loving person maintaining/adding to their fat”, that matches.

Last decade and the start of this one, i wrote over a million words of fat fiction (only a small fraction of it published so far). Most of the stories started out heteronormative and along the lines of gentle, loving, supportive male encourager/feeder/appreciator and fat-loving woman. Almost never in the original outline were there any characters on the LGPTQI etc. spectrum. As i wrote, in almost every story, one or more characters various places in that alphabet appeared. Most common: average/slender M to fat F transitions, whether intentional or not, desired or not. My mind kept going there, because it felt amazingly good to go there. More than one story basically ends with everyone being very fat women loving the fat life, often each other.

It took me until summer 2018 to finally realize that i was on that letter spectrum (gender blurry).

Real-world fatness in any gender configuration/fat distribution remains elusive, and for me, likely best avoided if i want any hope of any measurable length of remaining life. I actually did try eating the same things/sharing the same lifestyle as my superfat (cis woman) Love in late 2022/early 2023: things that made/kept her fat stressed my immune system and kept me ill. Various other past fattening experiments have failed similarly or in other ways (though heavy cream did leave a little bit of fun pudge).
