Gaining

Havent been able to gain anything for 2 years

Fart, that kinda sucks I might be stuck here forever then

Maybe the heavy cream pudding can help. Sometimes its just about overcoming a barrier. But yeah, every lb past 325 is coming a lot slower for us.

Urchie:
Anyways I eat a lot of frozen foods, I make sure I get every food group but I mostly eat what most people would consider junk food like pizza, burger, hot dogs, chips, desserts, etc.

I do make sure to throw in proper meals sometimes like with beef and veggies and stuff too as im looking to gain weight, not completely ruin my health

Also I drink a lot of soda

In my opinion you were rude. You're also contradicting yourself. You say "just telling people to eat garbage is not good advice" then say that you eat what a lot of people would consider junk food.

My advice for someone wanting to get fat was actually quite specific which is to eat carbs. I regard eating carbs as both fattening and unhealthy. Pretty much eating food that makes you fat is unhealthy by definition. If you disagree and think you can eat healthy and get fat then perhaps that's what you've been doing.

Depending on how big someone wants to get, and their primary sources of calories, we do think it is possible for someone to get fat while "eating healthy." Some people just also take to the gain better than others, and it makes it less possible for some than others.

Carbs is a good suggestion, but it also can't just be empty carbs being added. Potatoes come with a lot of micronutrients, so baked and mashed potatoes *rock* for gaining. A lot of people swear by pasta, but truth be told, pasta doesn't get you there without butter, cream, or meat. That said, maximising your portions of these carbs when available is a primo idea for those who struggle with plateaus.

One last bit of advice, it goes understated, and it will feel like it slows you down, but trying to chew your food more can help!

I do agree that cream by itself is often not that great. The key is to mix it into a shake or drink, with whatever ingredients you find favorable.

I don't know if you like coffee or hot chocolate, but if you do, a heavy cream mocha tastes incredible, even if it may seem slightly thick. There's also lattes but I think that recipe may include less milk/cream content.

If you ever like to get shakes from fast food places, that's loads of ideas for making heavy cream shakes in a way you may find palatable. If you go this route, Hershey's syrup does *not* seem to mix well. You'd be better off checking out the flavoring syrups in the coffee aisle at the supermarket.

I'll also note that drinking enough water actually does seem to help. You don't want to be dehydrated, and it's almost like it lubricates and help you digest more food. Also, this may be anecdotal but I noticed that if I made a point of having a good bit of water after the cream, the number on the scale went up faster. So don't skip the water.

P.S. Man you're so lucky that you live with someone who doesn't mind and is accepting that you're trying to gain weight on purpose.

Seconding hydration. Think of it like coolant. If your body isn't operating at the right "temperature" then it won't run as efficiently for gaining. Too much, and you're not filling yourself with calories, not enough, and you "overheat," with systems in your body being more or less active dependent on how hydrated you are.

Your gut biome also has a lot to do with things like digestion. So if you *don't* eat anything probiotic and drink alcohol, your gut biome degrades and makes it harder to gain.
