Appetite walls & tummy aches.

What should I be doing when I'm not full, but either feel like something will make me feel sick or if I have a stomach ache.

Not a sickness from too much food, just maybe something that doesn't agree with something at the time.

I've tried crystallized ginger in the past and that's worked nicely, but what to do when that isn't on hand?

Well, that "not full but feeling gross" middle ground is the worst. It’s like your brain is ready to keep going, but your stomach is throwing a localized tantrum.

If you’re out of ginger, there are a few tricks you can use to settle things down so you can get back to it. First off, temperature and posture matter more than you’d think. If you’re sitting hunched over or reclined in a way that compresses your midsection, stand up and pace slowly. It sounds simple, but getting vertical helps gas move and lets gravity assist your digestion. While you're doing that, try sipping on some warm, not ho, water. Cold water can sometimes shock a sensitive stomach, but warm water acts like a heating pad from the inside out, helping those muscles relax.

If you have any peppermint around, whether it’s tea or even just a piece of gum, that’s usually my go-to after ginger. Peppermint oil is a natural antispasmodic, so it stops those "crampy" waves that make you feel like you’re going to be sick.

Another weird but effective trick is to nibble on something incredibly bland and dry, like a plain cracker or a bit of white bread. It acts like a sponge for excess stomach acid that might be causing that "off" feeling.

Ooh, this is some solid knowledge. Thanks so much for this! Gum would actually be an easy fix.
