Thank you all for your wonderful replies. I’m glad my post landed well and will hopefully help others who may have been feeling this way.
I know it’s not the same for every single person but from what you’ve all said it’s reassuring to know that it pretty much fits into the same category as any other attraction to another human being. And importantly from my perspective - consistent.
I split “normal” attraction/sex into one box for my whole adult life and “feederism/fat appreciation” in another and “never the twain shall meet” - so now I’m 41, allowing them to come together healthily it’s taken some adjustment to see how it fits in other people’s worlds. This has been very helpful though- thanks all!
