The only low-side-effect potential orexigenics are generation 1 H1 anti-histamines, and they definitely still have side-effects. They are also all prescription only, in the US, and have higher blood-brain permeability than their OTC counterparts. So, we do not recommend.

Mirtazapine is not available otc (Over-The-Counter), which is for the best as it is a psychiatric medication.

I've noticed the "increased hunger" side effect of the antihistamine azelastine. Or maybe it's more like the shutting off of the "that's enough food" switch.
