BigBallBellyGirl:
I've always wondered about the accuracy of so-called calorie absorption caps. As someone who has a lifetime of experience gaining, stuffing, and overeating, I've frequently consumed more than the body is supposedly able to metabolize. As an example, I consumed 90,000 calories over two days during the 2023 Thanksgiving holiday. My weight temporarily increased by 29 pounds. Based on the maximum amount of calories a body is theoretically able to store as fat, I should have settled around a 9 pound gain after digestion and loss of water weight. I didn't. 19 pounds stuck... not to mention, I stretched my stomach (I believe permanently) and set off a massive holiday weight gain over the next few weeks.
Nitchbigger:
How massive of a weight gain for the rest of the holidays was it? I could only imagine if it started with 19lbs in 2 days. It's hard for most to do that in a whole month!
BigBallBellyGirl:
I conveniently keep a weight spreadsheet (have for years). That season I gained 72 pounds between November 1 and New Years! Of course, I'm even fatter now, but I've never quite matched that calorie intake.
FoodIsTheKeyToTheHeart:
That’s really impressive. What did you use to get that calorie intake that you had? (Like the 90 000 calories in 2 days).
BigBallBellyGirl:
I documented the whole thing here in a thread from November 2023 called "Thanksgiving". It was just an excess of holiday food,.. 9x13 pans, multiple servings, loads of desert. I stuffed myself at multiple family meals on Thursday, and Friday, I consumed most of a meal for six by myself. I was practically immobile for a day, and my belly was bloated and tight for almost a week. That feast set off a big gaining sprint, and I'm honestly not sure if my appetite ever fully reset for normal portions. I'm much heavier now than I was then. I often fantasize about whether i could outdo my record.
FoodIsTheKeyToTheHeart:
That's super impressive. Hope you could make it one day and beat your record.
BigBallBellyGirl:
I think I likely could! Yesterday, I ate well over 20,000 calories, and while I was bloated and a little short of breath, I still felt like I could have handled more. I actually woke up quite hungry this morning as well. I may push my limits this weekend and test just how big my capacity is. Of course, I'm also gaining like crazy. I've put on 80 pounds since January 30th, pushed my belly button into a large, protruding outie, split the seams of a dress, sized back up into my "fattest" clothes, and added so much weight to my belly I can no longer bend over to reach things in lower cabinets.

That sounds super hot and fun! Do you think you would have to eat almost the exact same foods as you did during that thanksgiving to beat your record?
