Are you intentionally gaining weight: yes!

Do you gain weight every year: since I started intentionally gaining in 2023, yes.

Weight: ~260 lbs

Size: in clothing I'm between a 2XL and a 3XL, depending on the fit/ style of the clothing item. As for body shape, in pretty belly-heavy, with a larger frame overall. I'd say I look quite big.

Avg calories per day: depends on how much I focus on gaining on that day. "normal" days, where I don't particularly focus on gaining I eat about 3500 calories, on days where I do focus on gaining more I average 4500-5500 calories.

Avg # of meals per day: 3-5 I'd say. I eat breakfast, lunch and dinner but I snack a lot between those and often those snacks are rather meal sized.

Typical meals eaten on average day:
for breakfast I'll either have cereal with full fat milk or a couple slices of Nutella toast, I get lunch at work so whatever is offered on that day, dinner is often something like pizza, pasta with various sauces or bread (I'm German, we eat lots of bread lol)

Exercise amount: daily walks with my dog, I average about 6-7 km per day. on the weekends I often go for longer hikes, so about 9-15 km.

Laziness level: in pretty lazy. other than the walks with my dog I don't move much. I have an office job, so I tend to sit for the majority of my work day and when I get home I also tend to not move much.

Relationship with food: better than it's ever been! I love food and I love that I get to eat as much as I want!!

Avg calories per day: Not sure, actually. Haven't really bothered to work that out. I often go for foods which are high calorie individually, but I don't calculate the sum total of everything in a day.

Avg # of meals per day: Usually 2 substantial meals and a lot of snacking.

Typical meals eaten on average day: Not all in the same day, but pizza, pasta, fast food, mexican, chinese, nuts and sweets are all in the rotation.

Exercise amount: Usually very little movement, but I'm recently working to get out and walk at least a couple of times a week to support my gain.

Laziness level: Aside from the above, I'm usually quite lazy physically unless there is a "have to" which requires significant activity. Very active and engaged mentally, however.

Relationship with food: Eating is more fun than it has ever been for me.

I think it would be fun to hear what everyone's "fat lifestyle" is like. The basic idea is you give us an idea of an average day in your lifestyle.

For the sake of inclusivity feel free to respond even if you're not fat and just want to share, but the goal of this post is definitely to gain insight into the fat life (can also be useful for anyone that wants to emulate a lifestyle that's fatter than theirs)

I mostly eat when I'm hungry but I snack for pleasure. I sometimes eat to improve my mood when I'm down.

What's your lifestyle look like?


I was intentionally gaining until a week ago (I have to lose just enough weight I can fit through my front door), so my answers reflect what I've been doing for most of the year!

Are you intentionally gaining weight: Yes, I intentionally gained up until 2 weeks ago through hardcore stuffings. My goal was to see how big I could make my belly and how far I could push my stomach capacity.

Do you gain weight every year: Yes, I've gained weight every year since 2020.

Weight: 849lb.

Size: I'm too big for most clothing, even those from special retailers. I recently had three dresses made based on my measurements.

Avg calories per day: When gaining, 25K to 30K. Currently, I'm eating 4K to 5K, and I feel like I'm starving.

Avg # of meals per day: When gaining, probably 6-8 actual meals plus all day stuffing.

Typical meals eaten on average day: When gaining, I eat tons of carbs. My go-to breakfast is 2 dozen eggs, scrambled with 2 lb. of cheese, 12 biscuits, 8-12 turkey sausage patties, a big bowl of fruit, and a gallon of chocolate milk.

One of my go-to food orders is 5 large pizzas.

I also often would eat pasta, made in a 10 quart pot. That included 4 boxes of spaghetti noodles, 6 jars of marinara sauce or cream vodka sauce, 3 lb. of mixed parmesan and romano cheese, 2 cups of chopped onions, a cup of minced garlic, 2lb. of mushrooms, 2lb. of frozen meatballs baked in olive oil, and a couple of loaves of garlic bread. I was able to finish it all pretty easily, and it would leave me with a nice bloated belly.

Exercise amount: None. Getting up is very challenging. I only stand 4-5 times a day to use the bathroom and for hygiene.

Laziness level: Extremely. For the past 4 months, I've basically just been sitting around getting fatter.

Relationship with food: Yes, please! I enjoy all kinds of flavors, and I enjoy stuffing until I can barely breath.
