I've just uploaded another update to the chat application. This one was a bug fix update to try and eliminate the chat leaks. The problem is that this leak bug is elusive, because it only seems to happen under certain conditions. However, I've built additional security checks into the code, so that even though we can't completely replicated the bug at this stage, hopefully we'll still catch it with these checks.

If you find the chat leaks are still happening, e.g:

* Suddenly you are thrown into someone else's private chat
* Your in 'General' chat and suddenly you see a message that was intended for a private chat room

please let me know below, giving as much detail as possible about what happened.

Adding livestreams in dms seems like a bad idea

It's your choice if you want to use it or not. It's completely optional.

I'm trying to understand what your objection is, and the only thing I can think of as you haven't been specific is a concern that someone could start a live stream and it would automatically play for the other person in the chat.

But that's not how it works.

Starting a stream is optional, and viewing it is optional too. Both people have to actively choose to participate. As Hiccupx said, it's completely optional.

If you have specific concerns, do please let us know.

I think a concerning aspect is what the person live streaming might do,

I get some pretty graphic messages already not even a hello, the person just goes straight into graphic sexual acts in the message, before I even respond or open the message,

Now I know no matter how many security features are added a bad actor will find a way around it,

Also is there a screen recording blocking feature added too? Because if I was live streaming I wouldn't want anyone to screen record it,

How can you realistically stop anyone from recording a live stream on any website? Whatever block feature you have, someone can just record the screen on another device. Anyone live streaming would need to be comfortable with being out there.

I don't have a clue how to do it, but it is a concern id have with using that feature,

So I'd probably not use that feature I prefer to stay in the general chat now days anyway

Hi, yes, we're aware that chat leaks are unfortunately still an ongoing issue.

Hiccupx posted earlier in this thread asking anyone who experiences this to report exactly what happened. We're trying to gather as much information as possible about when it occurs and what was happening beforehand so we can identify if there's a specific trigger causing it.
