Hi all, just wanted to share and see whether anyone else has noticed and/or is bummed out by this.

Lately, I’ve noticed a couple of members that I enjoy following have started using AI to generate or heavily enhance their pictures without being transparent about it. It’s been really disappointing to see.
​I used to love following these accounts and seeing the real life gains, but some of the recent posts have just felt unrealistic (major, major weight gain in just a few weeks, plus that general AI look that isn't present in their previous images).

I don't mind at all if people are honest about their AI use, and I like that FF has a separate section for this. But these accounts are trying to pass off AI pics as real, and it's kind of a shame to me.

it has always rubbed me the wrong way. I hit the block button every time. It irks me when ppl think it's real or they appreciate it when it's so blatantly fake

Sort of like a fake profile and i think the FF team needs to warn these people because they seem to be trolls

I thought maybe I could chime in on this because I have played around with AI generated stuff.

To me as long as it’s for the sake of entertainment, not hurting anyone or making a false narrative about something, and of course being HONEST about it by using a FILTER to justify that it’s AI generated, I don’t have a problem with it.

Of course I understand how some people like to use an AI image of themselves for the sake of protecting their identity from certain people. Almost kinda like how some other people use those filters (like cat ears or something) like from Snapchat or other socials that’s known to do that. However at the same time I can see how someone may pretend to be a certain person that they’re not almost like that “catfish” type kinda thing.

While I’m not exactly pro-AI, I’m also not anti-AI either. I think as long as people are using it responsibly then it’s practically common sense. But there will always be people out there who will always appreciate the real thing more often than not. 💯
