Gaining

BMI is a terrible indicator of obesity. All the toned, fit, muscular rugby players off the telly are obese, as they have so much muscle (which as we all know weighs more than fat).

ok so any input on the size or weight if BMI is not a good indicator?

Supposedly body fat percentage is better, but you have to have a special machine that weighs you underwater.

For women, 32% or more body fat is "obese". For men it's 25%.

(Given this fact I find it odd that BMI scores are not graded differently for women)

That would give you a BMI of 27.4, or "overweight".

You need to weigh 164 to be "obese", at least according your your BMI.

But who cares? You look great now and my guess is you would look even better at 164.

I'm 5ft and somewhere between 125 - 130 lbs (it fluctuates quite a lot) - I'd say I was becoming noticeably chubby around 120lbs as I naturally have a very slight frame with very little muscle. Weight gain is so much more obvious on shorter people!
