Well, the future in-laws finally left. They spent five days (feels like an entire week) here with the little Butterball and me, clearly trying to get him to lose weight without saying it. Suggestions of, "Save some for later," and other such things were posed, and it was tedious to get through them.
One afternoon they decided we should all take a walk, and made him nervous when he tried to beg off. I told him he could stay home - who else would cook dinner? And during the walk one relative asked me about the weight.
Earlier today he said he finally told them he's happy this way, which made me so glad he stood up to them.
Hopefully it will make our lives easier
