Hey!
It's not easy on the brink of becoming an independent adult - not for you and also not for your parents.
I don't have all the information to give you a good advice here, but let me tell you this: I once told my parents, that I'm a bisexual and it was hell. Not for the way they actually treated me, but the way or relationship got somewhat colder after that. Don't get me wrong, we're still close, but not as intimate as before.
The thing is, that I didn't HAVE to tell them. I was happy with my girlfriend (still am with my now wife) so I could've just keep on telling them, I'm heterosexual. I just WANTED them to know. Looking back, I shouldn't have told them and if there would be a guy in my life later on, they would know by then.
So what I'm basically trying to say is: better play along, go to the uni, get fat (I don't think, 300lbs is THAT high) and then just tell them if they ask.
