Start off slow. Something like this isn't something you really want to go head first into. I mean, it is, but it shouldn't be. It's a big life style change and while you seems to have made your mind up about it, a gradual approach starting out will hopefully not be as jarring with your family and will be healthier in the long run. Once you're out on your own, have fun with it. But, as much as I like watching people grow, I don't like seeing them hurt themselves in the process whether health wise or family wise. Maybe try it in phases at first. Shoot for a few kg every couple months or just enough for you to feel the difference without making things difficult for you. I wish I could just flat say go for 20 or 30kg or something like that, but only you know you. Whatever you decide, I wish you well and welcome to the community.
