Depends on your tastes but there’s really no definitive food to guarantee gaining.
Read food labels and take into account calories, fat, sugars, and carbs. I’ve found I gain the most from foods high in both fat AND carbs. Carbs are important; too little carbs/sugar and you’ll lose weight instead. Processed foods are full of fat, carbs, and calories though it’s important to have healthy foods in your diet as well like fruits, veggies, protein, etc. Weight gain is caused by eating more calories in a day than what you burn and unless you already have a sluggish metabolism it’ll take time and there is really no one food that’ll do it (save for heavy cream... check the forums for threads speaking to such.)
It helps to have a variety of foods you like so you don’t get bored AND don’t eat until you’re sick as that can also result in burnout and reverting to eating less calories. Eat while doing passive activities such as watching TV or gaming. Eat late at night and maybe in the middle of the night if you’re the type to wake up at night. Snacking helps too as does recording your calories in some way, either with My Fitness Pal or writing it down.
But if you really want me to name food names: Peanut Butter (with added sugar) Bread, Pasta with rich sauce or cheese, Cheese!, Baked goods, Pizza, Burritos, Fried Foods, and other foods high in fat/carbs/sugars. If it’s tasty, it’s probably fattening. 😂
