Honestly, it isn't any different from regular check ups. Once or twice a year is fine usually. Maybe more if they're monitoring meds.
My current doctor is very weight friendly. He brought it up my first visit but because I was up front that I didn't mind my weight and didn't have money for a gym membership he's fine with that. As long as my other numbers stay good he's happy to ignore my weight.
My previous doc would have lectured me, but he was also on my case from the point I passed 200. There was a reason I avoided going to the fat shaming bastard.
