User55567:
So I've been actively trying to gain for probably 3 weeks now (4k-6k calories a day) even using heavy cream and weight gain shakes, and I can't seem to get any weight to actually stick on me. I think I've actually gained about 4-5 pounds but it's super discouraging. I'm currently 184.6 as of this morning and am trying to reach 200 but it seems like I'll never get there. Any tips on how to get it to stick and to stay motivated?

I am in pretty much the exact same situation. Granted I did gain a bit from 150ish to almost 190ish as of now. But, now that has seemed to stop no matter how much I eat or drink. Which of course is demoralizing. Sometimes it just takes time to get over a plateau. Slow and steady wins the race. Maybe try to spread out your calories more throughout the day. which may help you add more calories. Mix carbs with the fats like heavy cream. I've read that when both carbs and fats are together in a portion of food it has a higher chance to become body fat. This is why potato chips and french fries are supposed to be some of the foods that cause the most weight gain. Maybe keep a food journal and weight tracking so you can see how many calories you are eating, what foods work best for gaining, etc. Best of luck!
