Well, I'm active in the forums, I pop into chat from time to time, I post content (I write erotica, and I'm very good at it), and I'm a delight in general.

I don't have as many followers as some people on here, but that's mostly because I stay in my corner and only chime in if I have something of value to add.

Personally, I wouldn't worry about engagement. You've only been on here three days. Just do your thing and enjoy yourself.

If you write for the sake of views instead of the story, it's not going to be any good, and people won't care to read it. If you want to write, write because you want to do it, not because you want to be popular.

Just be a decent person and be able to carry a conversation. If you want friends, then show yourself a friend. Everything else will fall into place.
