Heavy cream vs coconut cream

Coconut cream is 230 calories per 100g while heavy cream is 190 calories per 100g.

I did some searching here and there's not much talk about its effectiveness. (I'm not lactose intolerant but it's way cheaper here.)

Is it as good as heavy cream? And does it have the same quirks like the delayed weight gain effect?

Heavy cream is probably better taste wise, but if it's equal to or better than heavy cream for gaining I plan on buying a lot of it.

Never fear, for I am here!

I did some digging and found this helpful article:

The tl;dr is that the two are comprable. Coconut cream is better than heavy cream in some respects and worse than others. So, if your main reason to get it is price, go ahead.

If you are worried about the taste, you can either cook with it or drink it in something else like a weight gain shake or smoothie. There are scores of recipies in the food section of the forum if you need ideas.
