Fat experiences

My body composition changed

So, a fact of my life is that I’m on round 3 of kinda yo-yoing between 300 and 400 lbs. I’ve decided to really go for it this time, and my body apparently agrees with me. The first time I was like 390 lbs, I was still kind of dense and muscular under it all, I was kind of compact. Then I chickened out and lost a bunch of weight, then had a weird couple of years, and now I’m gaining (on purpose) again.

In comparison, it’s crazy now. The fat I regained is a lot more skewed toward subcutaneous type, and I must have lost muscle last year from being really sedentary. I feel like I’m already physically larger at 355 lbs than I was last time I was pushing 400.

Obviously I love it, but I’m gonna have to look for 4x dress shirts soon for work.

My body composition changed

As someone who is muscular and trying to gain weight I can tell you probably are bigger than you were before if you lost muscle mass since your last gain. Muscle is just a lot denser than fat, so 1lbs of muscle takes up less space than 1lbs of fat. So if you've now exceeded your previous weight that means you have significantly more fat than you did previously

Yeah I almost definitely lost muscle. I still go for walks and stuff, but there was like a six month period the other year where I spent like 24/7 either asleep or on the couch with a fussy newborn, and really fucked up my knees :v
